March 25 -- AlmsgivingTraditionally focused on monetary giving to assist the needy, the scope of almsgiving may be broadened to include sharing one’s time, talents and treasure. Sister Sally Ann Brickner will share Shel Silverstein’s parable The Giving Tree which will provide a backdrop for contemplating the relationship between the boy and the tree that analogously pertains to Jesus’ self-emptying example in his dying and rising.
