Sister Christine Wochos

People have inspired her to grow in God

WochosChristineSr2012-100pxSister Christine was born to Charles and Valeria (Blahnik) Wochos in Gregorville. She was baptized Patricia Ann at St. Hubert Parish, Rosiere, and she was blessed with two younger brothers, James and Kenneth. Another brother, Gerald, died in infancy.

She met the Sisters of St. Francis of the Holy Cross while attending summer vacation school. After graduating from Casco High School she entered religious life in 1960. In 1963, she began her teaching ministry which took her to St. Boniface, De Pere; St. Mary, Peshtigo; Holy Cross, Mishicot; Holy Martyrs of Gorcum, Green Bay; Sts. Peter and Paul, Institute; and All Saints, Denmark. She also served as principal at All Saints and at Holy Martyrs. Her last teaching assignment was fifth grade at St. John Nepomucene in Little Chute. She is now retired at St. Francis Convent.

Sister Christine is grateful to God, the Sisters, her family and all the people over the years who have inspired her to grow in her love of God.
